Born on May 2, 1974, in Bozayran village, Yardımlı district, and graduated with a gold medal from Bozayran village high school in 1991. In the same year, he was admitted to the Faculty of Chemistry at Baku State University without an exam as the winner of the All-Republican Olympiad in Chemistry for high school students, and graduated from there with a diploma of distinction in 1996. He studied in the graduate program in physical chemistry at BSU from 1996 to 1999 and received his Master of Science in Chemistry in physical chemistry in 2001, In 2013, "Creation and Study of a New Teaching Infrastructure with the Application of Information and Communication Technologies (Application in Chemistry Education)" dissertation, and in 2017, he was awarded the Doctor of Pedagogy degree by the HAC of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the Department of Chemistry Teaching Methodology.

He was a teacher at the “Preparation for International Chemistry Olympiads” centre from 1993 to 2000, and an assistant at the Department of Physical Chemistry at ASOA from 2000 to 2001, from 2001 to 2003, he was the head of the Chemistry Department at the Heydar Aliyev Modern Education Complex, from 2003 to 2009 he was the head of the Academic Department, and from 2009 to 2017 he served as the school's Principal. From 2017 to 2025, he was the principal of the I. Hacıoğlu named “Tərəqqi” Technical and Humanities Lyceum. 

N.A. Abıshov has worked as an associate professor at the Department of Teaching Methods of Chemistry at Baku State University from 2013 to 2014, as a professor substitute from 2014 to 2016, and has held the position of professor since 2017.

He lectures and runs practical classes in “ICT in Education” and “Teaching Methods in Chemistry” for undergraduate students in the Faculty of Chemistry and in the SABAH groups.

N.A. Abıshov is the author of around 100 scientific works, including 19 textbooks, teaching aids and books (1 monograph, 5 of which are electronic resources), such as ‘World Olympiad Problems in Chemistry’

‘Physical Research Methods, Rotational and Vibrational Spectroscopy’, ‘Chemistry. An Encyclopedia for Children’, etc.), as well as chemistry textbooks for the 7th and 8th grades, etc.).

Thirty of his students have won the International Chemistry Olympiads. 

His works have been presented at a number of international and national scientific conferences and published in the *Journal of Physical Chemistry*, *Chemistry at School*, *Current Issues in the Humanities and Natural Sciences*, *Contemporary Issues in the Humanities and Natural Sciences*, “New Technologies in Education”, “Journal of VNTU, Ukraine”, “Scientific Notes of the Mykola Gogol State University of Nizhyn. It has been published in prestigious journals such as “Psychological and Pedagogical Sciences”, “Distance and Virtual Learning”, “Management Systems and Information Technologies”, “International Journal of Home Science” and others. He participated in international Olympiads, conferences and symposia held in the United Kingdom, Denmark, Finland, the Republic of South Korea, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia and Turkey.

N.A. Abıshov was elected a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences in 2015. 

He conducts research in the natural integration of Information and Communication Technologies into the teaching process, the management of the teaching process using ICT, modern approaches to chemistry teaching, and the application of modelling in chemistry education.

A diploma from the Association for Chemistry Education of CIS countries, an Honouree Citation from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan (4 times), an Honouree Citation from BSU (2 times), He was awarded the “Tərəqqi” medal by a decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 3 October 2013 for his services in the development of Azerbaijani education, and in 2017 was presented with the M. V. Lomonosov gold medal by the European Scientific and Industrial Consortium. 

N.A. Abıshov served as Deputy Chairman of the expert commission at HAC under the Republic of Azerbaijan. 

In 2019, he was awarded the honorary title of “Honored Teacher”.

In 2024, he was awarded the ‘100th Anniversary of Heydar Aliyev (1923-2023)’ jubilee medal, a jubilee medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Since 2025, he has been working as the principal of the College of Industry and Technology under ASOİU.

He was born on 15 November 1969 in the village of Zalimkhan, Gazakh district.

He graduated from Baku Technical College, majoring in Standardization and Product Quality Control (1994), and from the Gazakh branch of the Azerbaijan Teachers' Institute, majoring in Pedagogy and Methodology of Education (2009). He also completed leadership training in the Internal Troops of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In the Internal Troops, he served as Deputy Commander for Logistics (1993–1999), Deputy Commander for Educational Work (1999–2006), Head of Service (2006–2013), and Deputy Head of the Internal Security Department of the General Directorate (2013–2019).
