The "Design and Sewing" training workshop of the Industrial and Technology College under Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) participated in PesheFest 2026, a project organized by the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.

Under the leadership of the workshop head, designer Narmin Karimova, training masters Aida Aliyeva and Mahila Taghiyeva, sewing subject teacher Gunay Afghan gizi, along with our students, participated in the event and exhibited various handcrafted items they created.

The event was attended by Elmar Gasimov, Rector of BHOS (Baku Higher Oil School); Members of the Milli Majlis Zahid Oruj and Vugar Iskandarov; Hasil Abbasov, Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency; as well as heads of various state and private organizations and public representatives.

The aforementioned guests showed special interest in the stand of the "Design and Sewing" training workshop, examining the displayed handcrafted works closely, inquiring about their production process, the students' creative activities, and the overall work done by the workshop. The presented handicrafts were highly praised by the guests, and the college's initiatives in this direction were commended.

Participation in PesheFest 2026 was significant in terms of showcasing our team's activities, as well as our students' creative potential and vocational skills, to the general public. Such events play a vital role in increasing youth interest in vocational education, developing their practical skills, and sustaining national craftsmanship traditions.
