An educational event was held at the  College of Industry and Technology at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University on the occasion of the International Day of Peace, September 21, following the declaration of the ‘Peace Month’ covering the period from August 21 to September 21, 2026, By Sabina Aliyeva, the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

 At the event, Asaf Mammadov Isgandar oglu, Deputy Director for Educational Affairs of the collage, delivered a speech, congratulated the students on the International Day of Peace, and gave a comprehensive presentation on the topic. In his speech emphasized the close relationship between peace and human rights, the importance of strengthening mutual respect and trust in society, as well as the necessity of promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence among youth.

 It was also emphasized at the event that preventing violence and discrimination, developing a culture of dialogue, and protecting peace are duties that fall upon everyone.

The event was significant in promoting the values of peace, tolerance, and the protection of human rights.
